... and your habits? After a while surfing the net attracts cookies, little applets slipped into your system with extreme stealth. You may have set cookie tolerance up but in any event you are sure to have your fair share of them. Many are benign or useful but other are very creepy, sending information about your habits to lord knows where or for what, they also dribble away your bandwidth with the accumulated traffic they generate. They can and do impact performance eventually. A clean out once in a while is good. One thing you can do is use a cookie nuker utility which will find them, display them and rid you of them if you want. Bear in mind if you are very aggressive with cookie cleaning you may lose some preferences such as stored passwords and other personal saved preferences. You can pick and choose though with most schemes. A free cookie cleaner is Cookienator (example only) CookienatorUsed carefully you can take care of your infestation.
