Router latency Since latency is the measurement of time it takes a packet to travel from place to place, and the underlying fiber and copper networks they traverse handle packets at the speed of light, the bottleneck and latency causing portion of the network are the routing points. In a nutshell if you have slow flow somewhere your network performance will be unpredictable... gamers know of what I speak. A quick way to see if you have latency issues is to run this utility. DPC Latency CheckerGreen is good, Red is bad... once you can see if you have latency issues, you can begin to figure out why.
