Not a huge crisis but may hold a little lesson.
Not like Thomas the little engine who could... or anything... But...
Along with a few other "on the road" bits and pieces for those emergency occasions I carry a small old net-book, somewhere under the trunk brickabrack... also one of those DC/AC inverters.
Out on the road, I remember I need to make a "critical" phone call concerning an upcoming wedding (now you understand).
Oops, no cell!
What you need on these occasions is a coffee shop with wifi, lap or net-book and a Skye type setup. No prob, better than finding quarters and half destroyed phone booths.
Well, minutes later, find loving daughter on-line, ring, ring, Hi dad and bobs yer uncle... problem solved... she made the call for me.
Not bad for an ol' coger - huh... AND I had nice face to face chat with daughter while I sipped a piping hot coffee.
From the braces and a belt file.

I forgot to mention, if you are in Hamilton today it is raining cats and dogs-- did it all without leaving the car--double double... drive though... SWEET!
